Microsoft pulled the Tay chatbot offline within a day of launch

Microsoft launched the Tay chatbot on Twitter and took it offline within a day after, in Microsoft’s own words, “a coordinated attack by a subset of people exploited a vulnerability in Tay.” Corporate Vice President Peter Lee’s March 25, 2016 post apologized “for the unintended offensive and hurtful tweets from Tay.”
