On July 1, 2026, Together AI announced an $800 million Series C to accelerate what it calls the shift to open-source AI. The company’s press release headline puts the round at an $8.3 billion valuation. Investors in the round include Aramco Ventures, NVIDIA, Vista Equity, General Catalyst, Emergence Capital, SE Ventures, Pegatron, Salesforce Ventures, March Capital, DTCP Growth, Lux Capital, Geodesic and PSP Partners.
Beyond the equity round, Together AI said it has secured commitments for over 500 MW of compute capacity to be capitalized independently by its new investors, a structure that separates the balance-sheet-heavy data center buildout from the operating company. The funding will support expected compute growth in the coming years as the company scales its GPU cloud and inference platform for open-source and custom models.
The round is a signal that the neocloud and open-model inference layer is now drawing megaround-scale capital of its own: strategic investors from chipmakers (NVIDIA, Pegatron) to energy (Aramco Ventures, SE Ventures) are backing infrastructure specifically for running open-source AI in production.
